Hello! My name is Heather Leggett. I'm basically just a big goofball at heart (just look at the photos for an idea, haha). I've been into photography for about 20 years now (ok, that makes me sound really old! LOL). I started out taking over as the family photographer when I was 11 yrs old and now I am taking pictures of my own children every chance I get. I think it's so important to have pictures to document your family's life, little moments and big ones. After all, it's all about the journey isn't it?

I chopped my hair off today!! I went back and forth on this for a while now. I love shorter hair, but I haven’t had it short for a while so it was tripping me out thinking of having it short again. I couldn’t remember what to do with short hair, hahaha! But I decided I needed to do it. It’s summer time and I keeping getting the urge to chop it (for like a year now, hahaha) so I might as well go with it right? Here is a pic of the finished haircut! A huge thank you to Alisha Carlson of Pure Beauty Lounge in Redmond for taking the time to cut my hair. I know it’s a huge chore because of how thick this mop is! LOL Thank you, I love it!!!

It has come to my attention that some may be having trouble viewing the images on my blog. I put my IT guy to work on the problem and we hope to have resolved it. It seems that the newest version of Internet Explorer is having some compatibility issues. They have put a button into their new browser to resolve this. It is located next to the Refresh button in the upper right hand corner of your browser window and it is labeled “Compatibility View”. If you are having these issues, please give this a try and let me know if it works for you. Please let me know if you have any other issues and I will take care of it. Thank you!

Meet 9 day old Ava! I had the privledge of meeting this little princess while she was still in utero! I did her mama and daddy’s maternity session a few weeks ago! I was so thrilled to get the call that Ava was finally here! My heart just melted when I got to hold her for the first time! She is such a sweetheart! She has already shown her diva personality by deciding not to sleep during our session, haha, but that’s ok with me. Look at these gorgeous eyes!! How could I not want to photograph her with her eyes wide open! So much cuteness!!

This wedding was extra special for me to photography because it was my brother’s wedding!! It was so exciting to be a part of Shawn & Monee’s special day! I am also so thrilled to have gained a new neice and nephew too, they are so sweet!! Congratulations Shawn and Monee and family! You are truly blessed to have each other and such a beautiful family! I had such a wonderful couple session last night!! I have had the priveledge of knowing Julie for the past two years, she is so sweet! I have been dying to get her in front of my camera and I was finally able to, along with her awesome boyfriend Reagan! We had so much fun hanging out at Smith Rock together and getting some fun and romantic shots.
