I had a fun shoot with Meg on Friday evening! She’s a very sweet and beautiful girl! We met at one of my favorite spots, the downtown area of Bend! We started out taking a few shots in nearby Drake Park to get a few fun sunflare shots by the river, then we moved to the fun alleys of the downtown area. So much fun! Meet 9 day old Ava! I had the privledge of meeting this little princess while she was still in utero! I did her mama and daddy’s maternity session a few weeks ago! I was so thrilled to get the call that Ava was finally here! My heart just melted when I got to hold her for the first time! She is such a sweetheart! She has already shown her diva personality by deciding not to sleep during our session, haha, but that’s ok with me. Look at these gorgeous eyes!! How could I not want to photograph her with her eyes wide open! So much cuteness!!

I had a wonderful time photographing this sweet little 4 month old, Dani Jade! It was especially fun because she is family! Her grandma is my mom’s first cousin. They truly are the window into the soul. My daughter Jaden is a very soulful little girl. She often surprises me with how insightful she is, saying things you would think could only come from a much older child. My baby is growing up way too fast. It seems the youngest always have a way of trying to make up for being the youngest by reaching beyond their years and outgrowing their baby and toddlerhood much more quickly than their older siblings. It’s so very bittersweet, and one of the many reasons I love being a photographer. I get to freeze these tiny moments in time and hold onto them a bit longer…
I love pictures taken from behind. There’s something about them that feels like you’re peeking into someone’s life and capturing a moment in time. I also absolutely love black & white photography, especially with grain. When I processed this picture I just had to stop and stare at it for a while. It’s one of those moments…
As promised, here’s some more of the pics I took Thursday of Jaden playing outside in the leaves and grass. I have more leafy ones, but I just loved these close ups of her. Sorry for so many, I had to share some black & white versions too because I just love how they turned out!
I have more from this set to share but I’m supposed to be working. I just HAD to put my favorite up really quick though! This just screams FALL to me!! The beautiful yellow leaves in the background, bright green grass, golden leaves to jump in and my beautiful smiling girl as she runs and jumps in the leaves. It makes me smile.
