I had a great time working with these two wonderful families yesterday! They were troopers braving the chill and walking through Drake park to get some great family shots. Enjoy your sneak peek guys!!

I had so much fun meeting this adorable family last night! Their boys just turned one and are as cute as can be! They did great braving the chill in the air to get our shots. Here is a sneak peek from our session!

Little Maddox just turned one so it was the perfect time for this family to get some portraits done! I had such a blast working with them! Maddox was so cute and kept posing for me, haha! The older boys were so fun and goofy. And of course Julie and Adam were such a sweet couple, I had to get a couple kissing pics, haha!

Here’s your sneak peek guys! I had so much fun last night! By the way Julie, Ashlynn was in a fit of giggles while I was working on any pics with Hayden in them, hahaha!

The kids and I took a little walk back to the canyon that is a few blocks from our house. It was a beautiful evening with gorgeous light and the perfect setting to play with my new 100mm 2.8 lens some more! I just love this thing! I played a lot with backlighting and sunflare, yum! Here are some of my favorite pics from this evening. Let me tell you, it was HARD to narrow it down to only eleven! Haha! These first 4 were taken on the walking trail on the way to the canyon.

I LOVE when my Ashy looks at the camera! Her eyes are just amazing! Played with some vintage toning in this one.

Beautiful sunflare, Kaelan and Jaden thought it was so neat that Jaden had a rainbow in her picture, haha.

I had to wait several minutes for him to stop posing, get bored, and look away from the camera, haha.

My girls both love getting down and dirty. This cracks me up, Jaden in her girlie pink coat playing in the dirt, haha.

Mama got dirty getting these pics, but it was worth it!

I saw this rusty socket thing in the dirt next to me when I was taking Ashlynn’s pic so I thought I’d play with macro a bit more and snagged a pic of this too. Added some texture to this one too.

So excited to get a new 100mm 2.8 lens! It’s so fun playing with new equipment! Here are the first few test shots I took with it. More to come…. Added some texture to both pics for fun!

I just love how my little Kaelan is always willing to do nice things for everyone. He was so sweet to paint the girls’ nails for them the other night, I just had to get the camera out and take a few pictures of it.

I found a great new location near my house. There’s a canyon with a great walking trail and lots of high desert follage and terrain. The light there is beautiful in the evenings! I took a few test shots with my kids. It’s fun to see their different personalities come out in each picture.

My sweet Kaelan, the only one who consistently poses and looks at the camera, haha.

Ashlynn, so sweet and good natured. Not really into the camera so I have to catch her moments, which is nice because I get more personality that way. I love her cute little profile.

And Jaden, such a girlie girl. Loves the flowers even though they are dead and don’t really smell, haha.

Kaelan and Jaden have such a sweet bond between them. He is so loving and kind to her and she really looks up to him. He reads really well and exceeds in school so he’s taken it upon himself to impart his vast knowledge on his little sister.<3

I had a great time with my friend Erin and her three kids the other day at the park! I brought three of my kids and our friend Anyka’s two kids I was babysitting, you’ve probably seen them before if you follow my blog. It was a long time coming getting all our kids together, our schedules keep clashing, but it was well worth the wait! The kids had a blast and I got a couple really cute shots I love. Here’s two of my favorites.

And I LOVE this shot of four of our girls laying in the grass. Erin’s youngest was with her running a quick errand, I wish she had been in this shot too. So cute though. The girls are all wet due to a water fight at the water fountain, haha! It cracks me up how all of them don’t mind getting wet, dirty, muddy, whatever it takes when they’re having fun.

And nothing says summer like strawberry shortcake! YUM!! We’ve been having a lot of it lately now that strawberries are in season. I pick up some strawberries every time we go to the grocery store. The other night Jaden helped me prepare it. I let her use a little kids knife to slice the strawberries and was amazed at how skilled she was with that little plastic knife! Her slices were so uniform and perfect! Of course I had to take some pictures. Here’s my little four year old in action!

I also wanted to appologize for being MIA. I’ve been really sick for the past week and a half. I’m feeling better now though and looking forward to some fun stuff coming up in the next few weeks!!
