I had such a fun time shooting Dillon’s senior session on Saturday. It was very cold, but we warmed ourselves ducking into coffee shops and candy stores and enjoying the yummy smells while we thawed. Here’s a sneak peek of our session! Enjoy Dillon!!!
What a fun session this was! It was great meeting up with little Izaak and his family in the park on Saturday. He was a bundle of energy and off to explore every nook and cranny of the park! Ahh the wonder of being a toddler! It was so fun following him around and taking a peek into his world. Here’s a sneak peek of our session!
The kids and I took a little walk back to the canyon that is a few blocks from our house. It was a beautiful evening with gorgeous light and the perfect setting to play with my new 100mm 2.8 lens some more! I just love this thing! I played a lot with backlighting and sunflare, yum! Here are some of my favorite pics from this evening. Let me tell you, it was HARD to narrow it down to only eleven! Haha! These first 4 were taken on the walking trail on the way to the canyon.

I saw this rusty socket thing in the dirt next to me when I was taking Ashlynn’s pic so I thought I’d play with macro a bit more and snagged a pic of this too. Added some texture to this one too.
So excited to get a new 100mm 2.8 lens! It’s so fun playing with new equipment! Here are the first few test shots I took with it. More to come….

Found this birdhouse the other day when we were out and about. I love the rustic look to it and how it looks against the bark of the tree. I added a little texture in processing to give it an added rustic element. This will go into my nature collection as well.

I was making some food in the kitchen and when I went to the sink to wash my hands I saw how golden and glowy the light was. Perfect for photography. These berries grow on a tree right outside our kitchen window so they were the perfect subject. I had to stop preparing my dinner to go take some photographs!

We had wonderful weekend and totally enjoyed our warm sunny weather! Last night Curtis played catch with Mackenzie while the other kids rode their bikes and ran around outside and of course I had to pull out the camera since it was that golden hour. I noticed the trees out in front of our house were finally starting to bud and blossom so I had to get some shots. I added some fun texture and played with tones in a few of these.
